Against the media darkness

The Novi Sad School of Journalism supports the goals of the Initiative “For the Media Freedom”, created after the weekly “Vranjska”, (http://www.vranjske.rs/), one of the most important local media in Serbia, ceased to exist due to the constant political pressures they could no longer resist.

So far, more than 150 media and organizations have joined the initiative. They will protest at the noon on September 28 by darkening the screen or marking printed issues with black tape, which symbolizes media darkness.

With this campaign, we want to draw the public’s attention to the fact that the media freedom in our country is muffled and that we must all struggle to preserve it.
