“Female politician 2016″project will make a research on the presence of women politicians in the media during the election campaign in 2016. The purpose of the project is to contribute to the advancement of journalism and media practice in Vojvodina in relation to gender sensibility reporting. Research target group will be media in Vojvodina and the way they report on women politicians. Research results will be presented on the Novi Sad School of Journalism website and in the media in Vojvodina.

Main hypothesis in this research is that the media selectively recognize a politician female candidate as a relevant source of information in this election campaign. Which means that only the most prominent female minister and female politicians leaders  were visible in the election campaign, although according to the current regulations for the electoral lists, every fourth place belongs to female politicians. The results of this research will be available in November 2016.
